Dr. Kibartas completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois followed by veterinarian school there earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He was drawn to the field of animal care from a desire to practice dairy medicine. In fact, if you ask Dr. Kibartas why he became a veterinarian, he could simplify it for you in one word “dairy.”
With a focus on dairy, Dr. Kibartas only assists cows and large animals. His mission is to help farmers succeed in their production goals at the farm. He finds it rewarding to help his clients’ businesses perform well by providing the best possible cow wellness care. Outside of work, Dr. Kibartas also looks after his own two dogs and cat. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, the outdoors and time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Owner of Northwoods Veterinary Service since 2004, Dr. Michael Storlie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 with a Bachelor of Animal Science. After completing his Animal Science degree, he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2001, he moved to the Wittenberg/Birnamwood area and he has been practicing here ever since.
Dr. Storlie’s animal care interest and area of expertise includes bovine reproduction and obstetrics as well as companion animal surgery. As a Veterinarian and the owner, Dr. Storlie feels it’s nice knowing he can make a difference in someone else’s life, whether it is dairy herd problem solving or treating a cat or dog. He says, It’s rewarding for all of us to be able to give back to our community through helping people improve their animals. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family and pets, traveling, going to concerts, Badger sporting events and working on his classic car.
Jill is a Birnamwood native who is new to the clinic in 2020 but has worked with the owner for the last ten years assisting with tax preparation. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is a Certified Public Accountant. Scaling back from her demanding work as an accountant, Jill is looking forward to her new family friendly role at the clinic and in the community. Outside of work, she is a busy mom of boys who enjoys gardening, fishing, boating and time with her family.
Winter lives in Bowler, Wisconsin. She attended North Central Technical College in Wausau earning an Associates Degree in Dairy Science. Her animal background includes milking cows for 10 years on a Wisconsin farm. As a veterinary assistant, she enjoys seeing farmers and animals thrive. She finds it rewarding to assist the veterinarians in helping animals feel better. Pursuing her passion for animal care, Winter is currently working towards her Associates degree in Veterinary Science. When she is not working and studying, she enjoys the outdoors and reading in her free time.
